Avatar and inventory
Last updated
Your avatar is how you show up across Asterune β in games, on your profile, and in the communities you join. This page explains how to customise it, where your items live, and what to know about buying and owning content.
Customising your avatar
Open the avatar editor from the Avatar page. From here you can change how your character looks, including:
- Body and appearance β adjust your avatar's base look
- Clothing β outfits, tops, bottoms, and full costumes
- Accessories β hats, glasses, gear, and other add-ons
Changes you make in the editor are saved to your avatar and carried with you into games that use Asterune avatars. Some games style or restrict avatars to fit their own world β that's set by the game's creator and only applies inside that game.
Your profile picture
You can use a custom image as your profile picture, or set it to be derived from your avatar so it automatically reflects your current look. You'll find this option in Settings β Profile. See Getting started for the basics of setting up your profile.
Buying items
Avatar items and cosmetics are bought with Runes (T$), Asterune's virtual currency. When you buy an item, it's added to your inventory and you can equip it from the avatar editor. To learn how Runes work and how to buy them, see Runes.
Some items are made by Asterune, and many are created and sold by other creators across the platform. Prices are set in Runes and shown before you confirm a purchase.
Luminary and exclusive items
Asterune Luminary subscribers occasionally receive exclusive items that aren't available anywhere else. These are added to your inventory automatically when they're distributed. Some items may also be limited-time or limited-quantity releases.
Your inventory
Your inventory holds everything you own β items you've bought, items you've earned, and items granted through Luminary or promotions. Open the Inventory tab on your profile to:
- Browse everything you own
- See details about each item
You can equip and unequip items from the avatar editor. If you'd rather others not see what you own, you can turn on Hide inventory in Settings β Privacy β see Privacy settings for that and your other privacy controls.
Items in your inventory are tied to your account. In line with Asterune's economy, items and Runes are not transferable between accounts β you can't trade, gift, or sell items you own to another user. Be wary of anyone offering off-platform item trades; see Scams and phishing.
Content standards for items
All avatar items and cosmetics β including those made by creators β must follow our Community Guidelines. Items are subject to moderation, and content that's inappropriate, infringing, or otherwise against the rules can be removed. If you see an item that breaks the rules, you can report it from its page.
